Tommy Glenn Carmichael:

Tommy Glenn Carmichael is possibly the most well known slot cheat today. Glenn is personally responsible for millions of dollars being lost by casinos to slot cheats. Carmichael has even been featured on the History Channels "Breaking Vegas, Slot Scoundrel". Tommy has a simple claim when it come to slot machines, "Give me a slot machine and I'll beat it." and given his track record it is very unlikely that a slot machine that Tommy cannot beat exists.

Tommy's rise in the gambling world happened in 1980 when a buddy showed up with a slot machine and a "top-bottom-joint." A top-bottom-joint was the top of the line in cheating devices at the time. Tommy quickly found out he had a nack for cheating, and made his way to Vegas. After hitting his first casino and walking out with $35 in nickels Tommy was arrested at a local Denny's while playing their slot machine.

Tommy spent the next 5 years in jail thinking about what went wrong. The mistake he made was using a device that is so well known that the casinos knew exactly what to look for. Tommy vowed never to make that same mistake.

In 1990 Tommy returned to Vegas and got to work on a Fortune One Video Poker machine from IGT. IGT is one of the leading Slot machine manufacturers in the world. Within 6 months Tommy had developed the "slider" which fooled the hopper. His $1 000 an hour run came to end in about a year as the technology in the machines evolved.

Tommy's next step was to visit IGT as a customer to purchase a new machine. Tommy claims that withing seconds of seeing the interior of the machine in the showroom he knew how to crack it. Taking the machine home with him, it took a mere few days to develop the "light wand" which used a light on a stick to blind the sensor eye and thus preventing the machine from counting the payout.

A year later Tommy was making $10 000 a day, and selling light wands to other cheats. By 1995 Tommy had a moterhome, a Jauar JX6, two homes, a pawn shop and even took seven cruises in six months, of course he hit every casino on the ships and at the port of calls.

Tommy was able to continue this racket for years because he looked like everyman, he didn't stickout. Eventually Tommy was caught in a sting operation and servered 326 days in jail. Today Tommy is developing an Anti-cheating device for slot machines and has been entered into the Nevada Black book which means he can never step foot inside a Nevada casino again.
